We recognise that the current disruption caused by COVID-19 and the response to it is a huge challenge for many businesses in Earls Court. We will seek to provide information and support where we are able.
Please do feed back to us if you have ideas or questions about specific things that we can help with.
Financial Support for Businesses
Many businesses will have questions about how and when they can access these. The Business Forum has been feeding questions back to the Council and RBKC has now launched a Business Portal with regularly updated information for businesses. This includes information about how and when business rates holidays will take effect, how you can access grants, the Council’s Business Rates hardship fund, and advice for food businesses.
New COVID laws
What are the new COVID laws for businesses introduced in September 2020?
London moves to High COVID-19 alert level. What does it mean?
The move from the Medium to High tier for London is effective from midnight on Friday 16th October. Many of the restrictions that are already in place will remain the same, but the major change for many businesses will be that people from different households will no longer be able to mix indoors in any setting (except for where they are part of a support bubble).
This means that whilst pubs, restaurants etc. can remain open, they should ensure that different households do not meet together inside as part of the same group. This poster summarises the situation and where you can find more information on the government website.
